Expansion Project a1.1 changelog

a1.1 = Alpha version 1.1

Changelog:

- There were added 4 new accessible areas to the game:
     - 3 small areas (2 with very easy difficulty and one with hard difficulty)
     - 1 medium area (easy difficulty)
     - 18 new creature spawns ( 3 of them are a new skeleton variation called "Skeleton Warlord")
     - the new areas have been populated with content (trees, rocks, plants, items, chests, etc)
     - Created new extremely strong unique creature, the Snapper King Arius. (not added in-game yet)
     - 0 bugs so far.

GE - Gothic Expansion. What? How? Why? When?

1. What? Glad you asked! 

The Gothic Expansion Project features a wide variety of changes brought to the standard (vanilla) world of Gothic. Inside the colony there are a lot of areas unused by Piranha Bites, these areas come in various sizes from small to very large and they can be changed in such a way that they can be used to add more content to the game. The aim of the Project is not to create a new Gothic world but to enhance the existing one that we all came to love. This new areas will host a number of creatures (vanilla or standard monsters and new immersive ones) depending on their size, new item spawns (vanilla or standard items and new immersive items) and new NPC's with various quests and tests for you to enjoy, each with a background story of their own.

2. How? Well...

By using the Gothic editing tools and various other external programs the Project will take shape. A team of trained goblins will bash away at the keyboard new content for you to enjoy.

3. Why? This is an easy question.

Gothic is the first game that really sparked my interest, the first game that i liked and the game that still to this day ranks as Nr.1 in my top. I thought that it is only fair to "bring thanks" to the Gothic game by enhancing this great production with new life and new hope. In a way, all of us, the fans of Gothic, are still wandering the lands of Myrthana, some of us may be up north in Nordmar in their favorite region and some (like me) still trapped in the colony. Whatever your favorite area may be one thing is clear: We come back here for a reason.

4. When? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

No, not even close. However...every single day brings new content to the world of Gothic, each day a new area is opened and accessible, the number of creatures increases the items in-game are more and more. By the time the Project is finished the play time will be dramatically increased same as the end game character level. At this time there is no content available for download but i promise you that a taste of what is to come will be available very soon.
